Vinyl Sustainability Forum 2016: il tema è “Smart Vinyl for Our Cities”

‘Smart Vinyl for Our Cities’ è il tema del quarto Vinyl Sustainability Forum, organizzato da VinylPlus a Vienna, in Austria, il 28 aprile 2016.
 
Organizzato da VinylPlus, il programma di sviluppo sostenibile dell’industria europea del PVC, il Vinyl Sustainability Forum 2016 discuterà del ruolo versatile del PVC nel soddisfare le future esigenze di chi vive e lavora nelle città di tutto il mondo, in cui si concentra una crescente maggioranza della popolazione globale e in cui la sfida di fornire servizi essenziali sarà sempre maggiore.
 
Il Forum 2016 Forum offrirà un'opportunità unica di identificare ed esplorare le potenziali opportunità di crescita del PVC in tutto il mondo per contribuire a fornire i servizi essenziali in modo sicuro, responsabile ed economicamente conveniente.
 
L’evento sarà caratterizzato da relazioni, presentazioni e dibattiti da parte di rappresentanti del mondo accademico, enti governativi, Nazioni Unite, Commissione Europea, professionisti, architetti, designer e industria del PVC.
 
Il Forum si aprirà con un discorso dell’Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite per lo Sviluppo Industriale (UNIDO) su “Green Industry – Percorsi verso uno Sviluppo Industriale Globale e Sostenibile”.
 
Tra i principali temi segnaliamo “la Grande Sfida Globale – Città Sostenibili del 21° Secolo”, con relatori di alto livello della Commissione Europea (DG Ricerca e Innovazione), del Programma per l'Ambiente delle Nazioni Unite (UNEP), del Consiglio Comunale di Berna (Svizzera) e di BDI (la voce dell’industria tedesca).
 
La sessione “Definizione degli Standard per Città Sostenibili” coinvolgerà l’ONG The Natural Step (TNS) e rappresentanti della città di Vienna (Austria) e di Woonbedrijf (Società di Edilizia Pubblica – Eindhoven, Paesi Bassi).
 
Una parte del Forum riguarderà i mercati mondiali del PVC e i risultati ottenuti da VinylPlus per lo sviluppo sostenibile oltre ai futuri obiettivi per la sostenibilità del PVC.
 
Esperti di settore discuteranno il contributo del PVC per le città sostenibili attraverso la fornitura e la gestione di acqua, finestre e pavimenti. Importanti architetti e designer analizzeranno i temi “design innovativo” e “il ruolo del PVC nelle città del futuro”.

Vinyl Sustainability Forum 2016 to explore Smart Vinyl for Our Cities

 
‘Smart Vinyl for Our Cities’ is the theme for the 4th Vinyl Sustainability Forum, organised by VinylPlus, in Vienna, Austria on April 28th 2016.
 
 
Organised by VinylPlus, the sustainable development programme of the European PVC industry, the Vinyl Sustainability Forum 2016 will examine the versatile role of PVC in meeting the future needs of those living and working in the world's cities, home to an increasing majority of the global population and where the challenge to provide essential services will be the greatest.
 
The 2016 Forum will provide a unique opportunity to identify and explore the potentially growing opportunities worldwide for PVC to contribute to delivering essential human needs in a safe, responsible and cost-effective way.
 
The event will feature keynote speeches, presentations and discussions from representatives spanning a broad spectrum of stakeholders from academia, government bodies, the UN, the European Commission, specifiers, architects, designers and the PVC industry.
 
The Forum will open with a keynote speech from the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) on ‘Green Industry – Pathways towards Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development’.
 
Key topics will include ‘the Big Global Challenge – Sustainable Cities in the 21st Century’, with top-level speakers from the EU Commission (DG Research and Innovation), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the City Council of Bern (Switzerland) and BDI (The Voice of German Industry).
 
The ‘Setting the Standards for Sustainable Cities’ session will involve the NGO The Natural Step (TNS) and representatives from the City of Vienna (Austria) and from Woonbedrijf (Public Housing Company – Eindhoven, The Netherlands).
 
Keynote speeches will focus on the global vinyl markets and on the VinylPlus achievements to sustainable development and future goals for PVC sustainability.
 
Industry experts will be discussing PVC’s contribution to delivering sustainable cities through water supply and management, windows and flooring.  Innovative design and the role of vinyl in future cities will be explored by leading architects and designers.

VinylPlus is the renewed ten-year Voluntary Commitment of the European PVC industry. The programme establishes a long-term framework for the sustainable development of the PVC industry by tackling a number of critical challenges in the EU-28, Norway and Switzerland.
