Concerning recycled PVC, within the framework of the VinylPlus® Commitment for Sustainable Development, 737,645 tonnes of PVC waste were recycled in 2023, representing about 24.3% of the total PVC waste generated in the EU-27, Norway, Switzerland and the UK.
Since 2000, 8.8 million tonnes of PVC have been recycled and 17.6 million tonnes of CO2 have been saved.

PVCr (recyclate) finds its main re-use outlets in window frames, flooring and traffic management articles.

In Italy, 73,914 tonnes of rPVC were certified in 2023, of which the post-consumer component is between 20 and 30%. The remaining volumes come from production waste (pre-consumption).
